The well know Opera Alley in downtown Tacoma that holds the beloved Over The Moon Cafe now has B Sharp Coffee House across the street. This place transforms on weekends to become what no doubt has turned into my favorite venue for jazz. The atmosphere is eclectic with an industrial feel and soaring ceilings & feels like its been there forever creating a comfortable & hip environment. Large pieces of art cover the walls (for sale) and some of the coolest restrooms I've seen, (not telling…it's a surprise!). I heard Eugenie Jones on Saturday night and there was no cover for some of the best jazz/ blues singer I've heard in a long time. You can sip some great wine, drink one of a good selection of beers and soak up the music. Sandwichs, soaps salads and shareable plates are available. I will be going every weekend that can! It's that time year when our local markets are starting. I love our Thursday Market on Broadway, the Tuesday Market in the 6th Avenue District & the Proctor Market. I enjoy listening to the music, smelling the food (of course!) and buying all that fresh fruit and produce! Click here for a link to all the markets in the Puget Sound.
